Participants will uncover the threebasic elements of Resist-A-Ball training and embrace how the ball brings out the kid in you. This is a great class format if you’re looking for ideas on how to gradually introduce the ball to your members.

Core Attack

Add variety and effectiveness to your core workouts utilizing different body positions, gravity challenged movements, stabilization techniques,core and the Resist-A-Ball to provide a complete center-focused workout. Grasp the fundamentals of each movement’s biomechanics and several progression sequences to safely and successfully train clients and class members of any level. In this workshop we will review some of the best fitness tools for core training like stability ball, BOSU, and Reebok Core Board. Geared to both personal trainers and group fitness instructors, you’ll get plenty of ideas to take home to your clients and members.

Fitness Camp Creative

With Boot Camps becoming a trick up every personal trainers sleeve, it’s time to go beyond the basics and add variety to your Fitness Camps.

The militant style of the “Boot Camp” is a great format and option you should explore and even provide, but you are missing the boat if you do not have the skills to provide your clients a greater variety of modalities.

H.E.A.T. – High Energy Aerobic Training

Generate some heat with dynamic, interval based hi/low choreography. Participants will learn
innovative ways to launch high intensity interval periods using basic movements inspired from sports conditioning and dance.

Practical Magic on the Floor (Curriculum for USFIT Group Fitness Instructor)

Cast a spell on all your old, worn-out choreography and create a little practical magic with this hands on workshop. Participants will experience how to apply elements of variation to use in developing great hi/low and mixed impact choreography. These refreshing ideas will create some new excitement with some old moves and
produce some fabulous new moves to implement back home.

Play Ball!

Take core training to the next level with this fun workshop. Practical demonstrations include use of Resist-A-Ball’s, medicine balls, soccer balls, and plastic balls of all shapes and sizes in dynamic strength and conditioning segments. Participants will learn innovative ways to incorporate this training into their strength segments of class, personal training sessions, or create an entire class design based off of these training principals.

SOS – Stretched Out Strength

Come to the rescue of tight muscles! This workshop is geared to both personal trainers and fitness instructors who want a progressive strength and stretch workout for all ages and abilities. Learn how to stabilize, connect and strengthen all of the muscles recruited for yoga-based poses and movement patterns. By incorporating several different movement traditions, you’re able to launch new concepts and movements without overwhelming your members. Amy will share with you 10 different exercise sequences that you can take home and introduce to your members right away.

 

SOS (Stretched Out Strength) on the Ball

Yoga Flow

Enjoy soothing music and calm your senses with this yoga workshop. Amy will combine
her education in Ashtanga yoga, as well as YogaFit training, and bring the best to you. Come and learn the applications of this 5,000 year old discipline, and how it can be modified for the general fitness club
population. Learn how to breakdown complicated poses and translate them into cues that your fitness members will understand.

Yoga Resist-A-BallBall Postures – Yoga Ball

Empower your body, mind, and balance with one of our favorite CEC courses. Ball Postures unites the dynamics of Resist-A-Ball™ training with yoga postures to create
a challenging, but doable balance and flexibility workout. Learn positioning, sequencing, and progression guidelines. Understand how to create a challenging user-friendly workout for your classes and
clients. This workshop is an excellent way to enhance your flexibility components of class, or just give your group fitness schedule a creative programming edge.

 

WOW (Without Weights) – A Beach Body Bonanza!

No equipment needed, really? Learn to develop and design an amazing, full body fitness experience using the natural landscape of the beach and 10 basic body weight movements and activities. Participants will learn the keys of fit camp design as well as unique ways to progress simple movements to challenge any level of participation. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to experience it all in a wrap-up Beach Body Bonanza!
